FH Home in Tustin, CA may look like a stylish, affordable furniture store on the surface, but behind the scenes, the founder, Beth Phillips, its employees, and over 300 yearly volunteers are making a real difference in our community for at-risk families and veterans.
The 10,000 square foot retail store in the Tustin Marketplace offers modern to traditional collections, including accessories and designer finds. But most notably 100% of its profits are donated to furnishing homes for those that have recently come out of, or are at risk of homelessness. For those that receive low income housing, but cannot afford the furnishings, bedding, and essentials, FH Home steps in. “FH Home believes a home should be a sanctuary, where you are free to express your own personal style, creativity and individuality.” Home furnishings help define sanctuary and offer a sense of place, belonging, safety and security to everyone.
Since its opening in 2003, and in partnership with manufacturers, local agencies, and other non-profits, FH Home has furnished nearly 1000 homes, and helped 551 wounded veterans. For families, they have delivered 2355 mattresses, offering a restful sleep to parents and children in need.
Similar to FH Home’s mission of providing sanctuary, teamMADE will be sheltering at-risk youths from foster care by donating the ADU from the OCSD competition. We are proud to partner with FH Home in furnishing hope to countless more individuals, who are working hard to become productive members of our community. If you happen to be shopping for furniture, consider FH Home and be part of making real change in our communities.
